Wish you to LIVE

There are many things constantly happening around, days full of rush and run, a deadline after a deadline and one moment you may feel like in a trap of your own little world with no interest or, even worse, sensitivity for other, "outside", world. You may think it doesn't concern you, but it does. Of course, I am not offering to intervene in others lives neither put a nose in others business. Just stop and glance how their lives affect yours.

Actually, even the hottest topics on today's political agenda, be it aging society, employment opportunities for youth, gender balance, education systems, consumerism, environmental degradation, energy, drinking water, food safety, etc., are the consequences of somebody's actions, opinions, mind set, priorities, background and many other variables and determinants. Somebody's else yet not yours. Moreover, in most of cases your opinion is not asked even if you have it. Of course, provided democracy is well grounded in your country, you may express yourself fully through elections, public disputes and other means. But it's no worth going too deep into details with it, since it's not about anything of this kind.

Today there are inexhaustible opportunities and chances to learn and express yourself, and do it. Be like a "sponge" to absorb knowledge, ideas, information, know-hows, "squeeze" it and zip it, and once you have a chance, make it spread. Be the Ambassador of your community, town, region. Be the one who whatever s/he does, does it with sincerity, simplicity, and determination at the same moment. Be passionate as it's impossible to attract somebody else, unless you are involved in with all your essence. Be passionate in the most discipline manner.

Create friendships and synergies, and be united. We are different, we have different background, our countries and regions have chosen different development models. Nevertheless, exactly divergent and despair experiences are what broader our views and opinions, what, accordingly, increase our personal contribution to things we do, activities we participate in.

Your are the one who has a chance to choose ways of your personal life development, and perhaps development path of your community, what is even better. "Synergise", transfer knowledge and exchange experiences. Don't think that others, even from the most undeveloped part of the world, has nothing to offer. Many times they have to offer more than even you can think of as they may live(d) in very extreme conditions and, still, they are there today. The lessons of survival and adaptation are the most important many times.

Be the one who knows what happens at "low level" and maybe one day you have an opportunity to influence on "high level". Even if you could not, don't worry. Perhaps you noticed, like me, that the best things happen from the bottom. And I really want to believe that one day the "top" and "low" levels will be more united working together to accelerate great improvements in our societies. Don't provide guidelines and recommendations, provide actions. Not talks, but actions do matter.

Do speak up. Say what you have to say in the most definite and assertive way. Empower with your words as well as with your actions. Despite being a pro-action rather than pro-word oriented person, I finally came to realise, or more honestly, I got convinced that by talking we can remain "on the same page" in terms of our understanding, our goals, the way we do and what we learn. Talk consciously to share the lessons you learnt along your way.

Be your own breaking force and tangible "push" that makes things moving. Be your inner force that brings to life your goals, aspirations and desires. It even doesn't matter if you don't have 5+, 10+, 20+ years of experience. Your passion and your inner drive is even more important than years of experience. Still, you are at the best position to learn what you want, what you are interested in, what creates excitement and thrill for you.

We starve for real human life but, unfortunately, technology age made us to rush that much that we have no time to sleep, do some sports, take care of our health, meet our families and friends at ease without constantly thinking about work and responsibilities that cannot wait. There cannot be even a talk that we would have time to live. We developed so much that we became prisoners in and of our world. Don't be afraid of opening your eyes and face many times uncomfortable true. Be a bit more open-minded, sincere and a bit more believer than you were yesterday. Each big thing starts from a small step and each step matters.

Therefore, I wish you freedom from running without a moment’s respite. I wish you to slow down and see around. I wish you memorable and inspiring moments with your families and friends. I wish you a fresh air breath and environment around not covered with thick layer of smog and all kinds of pollution. I wish you to work and be engaged in what you are and can be the best. I wish you balance in all areas of life. I wish you to grow old but not to become old. I wish you to enjoy each and every moment of your life. I wish you to learn your lessons and build better future. Wish you creativity to find environment-, society- and global-friendly solutions for all problems and issues you need to deal with. Wish you to be the Ambassador of who you are and what you do, and do it with the passion. You are the one who is a reason, cause, and consequences of your life and the way it develops. Therefore, most importantly, I wish you to LIVE.

one could ask

One could ask why I do take all these photos. There is probably only one answer. I wish one day to show to my children how beautiful world was when I was growing. To show transparent lakes, rivers and oceans, green fields and forests, wild flora and fauna that I could find in them, blue and clear sky, rainbow after the rain, birds and butterflies, other natural beauties. I wish to reveal how the nature was changing with every season – how everything was dying in autumns and reborn again in springs. Also, I want to show a piece of humans’ mind, imagination and creativity results. I want to be able to show how children were playing and felt the joy of new discoveries. I wish to capture and show people around me, happy and sad, because they had all this; besides, true, face-to-face contacts and it was real. But all this has changed and keep on changing.

Transparent waters are getting more and more polluted. The countless species have already disappeared or at the edge of extinction even now while I am writing here. Sky is not anymore so blue and bright and you may see the rainbow very rarely as it is hidden behind the ashes that all factories and automobiles around our planet produce. Where have four seasons, that I have been so much enjoying when I was a child, gone? Where have winters disappeared with falling soft snowflakes, fluffy snow and snowmen next to nearly each house? Where are springs with geminating flora and coming back birds from the South? Where have these summers, when going by bike you could stop and pick up wild strawberries that were growing not very far and still feel safe, vanished? Is there any wild strawberry still growing? Where are autumns with colourful falling leaves and calm rains?

Where have playing children disappeared from courtyards? Now they are mostly browsing in the Internet and playing computer games. They probably even do not know what it is to play barley-break, snow fight or just be running around neighbourhoods as we have stolen the possibility from them to have a real childhood. The one we had. Now each child knows how to chat online with the friends. Yet does s/he know how to speak with them? Do they know how to talk and hear each other, and how discover new things? Or nothing is left for them to discover as Google has all answers s/he might need. Do they know how to grow and learn together? How not to fight, consider others and feel affection?

When did the last time you walk from you home without your mobile, mp3 player, iPod, laptop or some other tech? When did the last time you walk on the street and met more people just talking to each other rather than talking on their mobile or texting? When did all this happen the last time? When?

Where has this perpetuum mobile the uncountable generations were going through gone? Who are we to destroy it? Who are we to exploit everything and do leave nothing to the future generations? Indeed, we can enjoy numeral luxuries but the question is if our children and grandchildren will have at least half or maybe the third of it? Or simple there will be no children and grandchildren as the living conditions will be not anymore favourable for human-beings to live here? Where are we bringing our Blue Planet to?

Do, DO something now until is not too late. Do not try to change the world. The world is already changing. Change small things, day by day in your own life, change the way you live, consume and treat the environment around, and others may follow you. This way you will change the world and hopefully to the better direction than it is changing now.

No, do not take me wrong. I am not against technological changes. I am for technological improvements that would not be destructive. That in these steel, concrete and wireless jungles that are replacing green fields and forests will be some true and real human contact without any intermediates.

And still, I will keep on picturing and painting-picturing, just in case. If you and I succeed, we will show to our descendants the path of our evolution, of our defeats and achievements. If we do not succeed to bring some positive changes by the way we live, then at least we will have something to show if there will be anyone to show to.
